Taking Matters Into Your Own Hands
I get it.
Drumming up new leads can be unpredictable and exhausting.
All the long hours you’ve put into your launches hasn’t produced the quantity and quality of leads you were hoping for.
You’re getting referrals, but they’re inconsistent at best.
…Or maybe your email list has gone stagnant and unresponsive.
…Or no one’s visiting your expensive website.
And the thought of networking and cold calling makes you feel like you’re constantly chained to your desk.
Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt.
But what if I were to tell you that there were 3 things you could do THIS WEEK to get sales without launches, complicated funnels, cold calling, and other exhausting methods?
Things that will give you more time away from your desk, help you sell more of your highest offer, and work with only the best-of-the-best qualified leads that will pay you the most?

Trust me – it’s not too good to be true. We have used these strategies with great success in the past for us and for clients:
1 —> Create referrals. Typically, we think that if we do a good job then people should refer us. Makes sense, right? The issue with that strategy (if you can call it a strategy), is that it’s hit and miss. Sometimes you’ll see referrals trickle in. Other times you won’t.
Sitting around hoping for referrals is like planning to win the lottery but not getting yourself off the couch to go to the store to play your numbers.
You need to take the matter into your own hands.
Creating referrals is a much more solid strategy that can produce consistent results and bring hot leads into your business for zero or next to zero dollars. Creating referrals means doing 3 things:
a) Sending monthly communications to your past clients that builds value and reminds them of the time you spent working together. Get creative. Send a thoughtful handwritten note, or a quick tidbit about something that could help them out.
b) Helping past clients recognize when they’re in a conversation with someone you may be able to help. For example, if you’re an agency owner, you may know that clients often come to you when they’re having a great year and are looking to offload some marketing duties.
c) Prompting your past client to make the connection, rather than passing off the information. Since they know you and have the relationship with you, they’re far more likely to reach out and make that connection.
2 —> Do an “I’m looking for” post. This post type was the idea of our brilliant friend Kevin Hutto and it’s really caught on online over the past couple of months!
An “I’m looking for” post states the type of client you’re looking for and the result that you’re able to promise them, as well as some restrictors around who it’s for and who it’s not.
For example, say you’re a health coach. You might say something like:
“I’m looking for 5 people who want to drop 15 lb before Christmas. Must not currently be injured. Comment “Me” below if this is you and I’ll shoot you the details.“
3 —> Partner with a complementary service business. Whenever I’m looking to muster up some new business, I seek out people who are serving the same client base as I am and look at how we can help each other out. For me in my business, this often means speaking to their Mastermind clients. This helps them because keeping up with content creation for clients is really hard. And it helps me because it puts me in front of the people I know have the money to work with me.
But it doesn’t have to be a Mastermind. It could be a local gym. Or a Facebook group owner. Or a Network Marketer who serves a similar market.
Not too hard, right?
