How To Convert Invisible Prospects Into Sales Appointments

Want to wake up in the morning and see your day’s calendar booked full of sales appointments?

Okay, great! But here’s where you are now:

You can’t seem to grab your prospect’s attention.

Getting them warmed enough to invite them into a call is a constant struggle.

Because of that, you aren’t getting very many calls booked, and when you do, you feel like you’re being pushy because that’s the ONLY call you have booked all week.

Sound familiar?

Ultimately, what you want is a process to connect with leads, warm them up, and have effortless conversations with them, rather than making it seem like you’re a used car salesperson desperately trying to close the deal.

I was talking with one of our clients this week in our Client Hatching Formula program who was struggling with this exact problem.

I shared with her that the key to making an easy transition from a cold prospect to a warm appointment is to engage in a dialogue with them.

When someone consumes one of your content marketing pieces — a social media post, a podcast episode, whatever it is you’re doing to put useful, valuable content into the world — they’re invisible to you.  Unless they leave a comment, you’ll never know they saw what you’ve put out.

So the first step to enter a conversation with someone is to get them to respond in some way.  Use a call-to-action that will spark them to comment. Or ask them to leave a review. Or lead them to an expansion of that content that they’ll opt into by leaving their email address.

Once you get this reply you now have a visible prospect and a conversation has started.  But most people just reply to the comment and leave it at that! That’s a mistake — this person spent their precious time consuming what you put out.  Could it be that they might be interested in what you have to offer?

Step two is to engage in a dialogue and find out what roadblocks or challenges they’re currently struggling with.  Chances are, if they were interested enough to consume your content there’s a challenge that’s been on their mind that you can help them with

Next, determine what impact they’re looking for as a result of solving that problem.

Finally, ask if they’d like some help with solving their current problem, and if they agree, invite them into a call to get some clarity on their specific needs and best options.  

Give it a try this week and see what happens! I bet your calendar will start filling up with sales appointments.
